Evan chandler Dead, Father Of Michael Jackson Accuser Commits Suicide

Michael Jackson

Evan Chandler, the father of the 13-year-old boy who accused Michael Jackson of molesting him in the early 1990s was found dead of an apparent suicide in his Jersey City home earlier this month, reports NJ.com.

Evan Chandler, formerly a Beverly Hills dentist, was found dead on his bed at his luxury apartment building on Nov 5. He had a single gunshot wound to his head and the gun was still in his hand, police said. He was 65.

15 years ago, Jordan Chandler, now 29, and his father, Evan Chandler, accused Michael Jackson of sexual abuse. Tape recordings of Evan Chandler discussing the allegations emerged, where he was captured saying: "If I go through with this, I win big-time. There's no way I lose. I will get everything I want."

The boy and his father also brought a civil lawsuit against the King of Pop, who died on June 25. But the case never went to trial because Michael settled with the Chandler family out of court for $20million.

Jordan and his father became estranged and Jordan even received a restraining order against Evan in 2006, after he allegedly hit his son with a dumbbell.

Evan Chandler was depressed in the final days of his life, according to a family friend.
